What We Do
Bridges CEDC primarily serves communities throughout Los Angeles County, especially those within a 20-mile radius of the City of Carson. As the needs dictate, we expand our service areas through our various programs. Currently, our program services are offered under the names of Bridges Academic Center of Excellence, Bridges Community Partner in Care, and Bridges Community Resources with the primary focus of bridging the gaps in providing access to critical resources needed to produce equitable outcomes for underserved communities and families.
Through our programs, we provide services such as academic support, foster care support for resource and biological parents, food and supplies distributions, and connection to community resources including mental health resources, job training and placement assistance, access to affordable housing options, and community events and workshops. Our goal is to promote self-sufficiency and empower individuals and families as we strive to create a more just and equitable society for all.

Receiving food and supplies from Bridges has been a lifeline for my family during these really tough financial times. The assistance has not only provided us with items like canned goods, fresh produce, and hygiene products, but it has also filled us with a sense of community support and love.

The environment was positively reinforcing…very refreshing for the summer and I could still interact with kids my age and have a place where I could pick up new skills and information.

They did not just fill our cupboards, but also brought hope and comfort, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles and that there are organizations and people who care.
