Bridges CEDC
Bridges Community Economic Development Corporation (Bridges CEDC) is a California non-profit community service organization whose purpose is to plan, develop and implement social, educational, environmental, and economic development programs to benefit families, especially those in underserved communities. We work to empower and strengthen communities through economic development initiatives that promote self-sufficiency, social equity, and sustainable practices. Our goal is to create a world where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive regardless of their socio-economic background. While we serve all groups who need services, we understand firsthand the challenges of families in underserved communities, comprising predominately Blacks and other families of color, experience in obtaining access to resources and support that would enable them to lead equitable and fulfilling lives.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build stronger, more equitable
communities by closing achievement, opportunity, and income gaps in underserved
neighborhoods through education, family support, economic empowerment, and
community development. We equip children and families with life-changing
resources, caring relationships, and pathways to leadership so they can
overcome poverty, trauma, and systemic barriers and reach their full potential.
