What We Do
Bridges CEDC provides education, family support, community outreach, and economic empowerment programs that help children, youth, and families overcome barriers and access opportunities for long-term success.
Serving communities throughout Los Angeles County, with a primary focus on the City of Carson and surrounding areas, our programs are designed to address the academic, social, economic, and family challenges that often contribute to inequitable outcomes in underserved communities.
Through the Bridges Academic Center of Excellence, students receive year-round academic support, tutoring, mentoring, leadership development, college and career exposure, and STEAM learning opportunities that help them build confidence and achieve their goals.
Through our Family + Foster Care Support programs, we provide resources, education, advocacy, and supportive services for resource families, biological parents, kinship caregivers, foster youth, and families facing challenges that impact stability and well-being. Our goal is to strengthen families, support healthy child development, and help children and caregivers access the resources they need to thrive.
Through Bridges Community Resources, we connect individuals and families to essential supports including food assistance, mental health resources, workforce development opportunities, housing referrals, financial education, and community-based services that improve quality of life.
Across all of our programs, our focus remains the same: helping people gain access to the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to thrive while strengthening the communities they call home.
